Then yesterday I get a text saying ‘it’s Green Lantern’ from the same #, I immediately called the number but he didn’t answer right then, then he text back and asked me to call back as soon as I could, which I was and got side tracked. With the ink barely dry on his new deal with Shady Records, the Buffalo spitter, Westside Gunn teams up with DJ Green Lantern and releases his new mixtape “Hitler On Steroids.” The 24 track project is a mix of old and new songs and boasts features from Conway, Royce Da 5’9″, Action Bronson, Roc Marciano, Benny and El Camino. Since flooding the game last year and releasing six projects, aside from “Riots On Fashion Ave”, Westside Gunn and Conway have been relatively quiet for the first two months of 2017, but for a good reason. Today they announced that Griselda Records, the indie label founded by Westside Gunn has signed a distribution deal with Eminem’s Shady Records. This also marks the first time an artist(s) from Buffalo has signed a major label distribution deal. Along with the announcement, Westside Gunn and Conway aka Hall N’ Nash release their new single “MachineGun Black” which is produced by the legendary Just Blaze.
