Wait… Apple Couldn’t Trademark What?!?!

US Patent And Trademark Office, denied Apple’s application to trademark iPad Mini. Apple received a letter in January from the USPTO stating, “Registration is refused because the applied-for mark merely describes a feature or characteristic of applicant’s goods.” The letter then continues to break down the meaning of the word iPad mini,”the wording merely describes a feature of applicant’s goods, namely, a small sized handheld tablet computer.” Apple has another 3 months to appeal the letter.

Apple Finally Trademarks What????

Apple did something they should have done long ago, and thats trademark their retail store design. The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office issued a registration certificate to Apple last week, Apple decided to trademark their glass-panel fronts and recessed lighting. The trademark in general covers “the design and layout of a retail store” which several competitors have copied. Over the years Apple has trademarked their “there’s an app for that” and the Lightning trademark from Harley-Davidson. However Apple has failed to get some deisigns trademarked such as the itunes icon inwhich they lost the patent case to social media network Myspace. And currently Apple is in a long court battle with Microsoft and Amazon about the name app store.

Beyonce & Jay-Z Secure The Trademark For Blue Ivy Carter’s NAME ???

I’ve seen it all now. When you have too much money that you don’t know what to do with, you do things like this…The Hov and Lady B are making Blue Ivy’s name a trademark. Whether or not their turning their daughter or just her name into a brand is something that when you hear it, you say WHY. Within the next three years they have to prove that they are using the trademark for the various purposes like skin cream, music, key chains, eyeglasses, strollers, scrunchies, software, or teething rings, among other products. Wendy’s franchise in the making. I have to see this. Drop down bottom for more.
