When Adrian Peterson skips this week’s organized team activities for the Minnesota Vikings, he will attempt to send an unmistakable message to the franchise: He wants to be traded.
For several years, President Obama and the White House have initiated discourse on a new trade partnership that, they say, will expand economic opportunities for American businesses, ranchers, farmers, and workers. This week, it appears that more details on the partnership are leaking out to the masses, and it is producing hysteria among those who oppose it. The proposed legislation is called the Trans-Pacific Partnership. Theorists for decades have expressed deep concerns of globalization and greed of multi-national corporation procurement for political power and monetary gains. This week, President Obama gave those folks more ammunition for presenting a case fighting against a corporate global takeover. This partnership details involving Singapore, Brunei, Japan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Peru, Canada, Mexico, and the United States, have been scarce due to extremely clandestine meetings. But, what is detected, by those whom have little access to the legislation, is all countries account for 40% of the global economy, and this is the largest partnership since the North American Free Trade Agreement, which could mean bad news for Americans.
Celtics general manager Danny Ainge has said he’d ideally like to trade his treasure trove of first-round picks – up to 10 over the next four years – for veterans. I doubt Ainge would do that at any cost, but that route sure worked well last time with Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen joining Paul Pierce in Boston.
Running back Adrian Peterson has officially been reinstated into the NFL after his child abuse case. While Peterson is eager to get back on the field, he prefers it not be for the Minnesota Vikings. Unfortunately for him, the team is intent on keeping him but if they do decide to trade Peterson, they have a very steep asking price.
Jimmy Graham is going to find his early days with his new Seattle Seahawks teammates pretty awkward. It was no secret Seahawks players didn’t like him after he was running his mouth prior to a playoff matchup between the Saints and Hawks. Graham is pretty much the best tight end in the NFL so you would think the issues between the players would die down since Graham is now a Seahawk after being traded by the Saints, but it appears that is not the case.
