Lil Wayne’s tweet from last week suddenly makes a lot more sense. On September 2, the Young Money rapper took to his account and wrote:
“Luv to the miami PD for always being alert, attentive, & appropriate. Thk u.”
Off the bat, I automatically assumed someone had messed with him at his home in MIA, and it turns out I was right! TMZ reveals that Weezy was the victim of ANOTHER swatting incident – which is when a prankster calls the cops, reports a major incident at a person’s address and then the cops show up ready to handle a situation that doesn’t exist.
The creator of the “Damn Daniel” video fell victim to a vicious prank early Tuesday morning after someone called the police claiming their was a shooting at his home. According to TMZ reports, police rushed to the Riverside, California home around 1AM, when a called reported a boy had shot his mother in the head with an AK-47. Despite being a frightening situation, it turned out to be a prank and no one was hurt. Officers cleared the scene and currently have no suspects. Yesterday morning, Miami police (NOT 911) received a call from a man claiming to be inside Lil Wayne’s home, saying he’d shot 4 people and had plans of starting a “fire fight” with the police when they arrived. Thankfully, it turned out to be a hoax. After searching the large Miami mansion for over 2 hours, cops gave the all-clear, and determined this was yet another unfortunate incident of “swatting.” Lil Wayne was not at home at the time, though he was in Miami.
