Yet another upsetting story. A 9th grader in Tulsa, OK took a gun and committed suicide. Coweta Superintendent of Schools confirms that the Intermediate School is on lockdown. The school official who initially called police said that no one was hurt, but soon called back and changed that story. The child’s name has yet to be released, but prayers go out to the child and family. We have to be more accessible to the children in difficult situations, so that this doesn’t happen. Sad: Owner Of The Club In Brazil That Went Up In Flames This Weekend Tries To Commit Suicide
It was a tale straight out of the horror films. Over the weekend, 235 people lost their lives and many more were injured when a band’s set sparked a fire at a Brazil club, right nearby a college campus. The fire spread in seconds and because of improper safety regulations, many more died than should have in the blaze. The club’s two owners are likely to face charges because of this and for one of them, it just became too much to deal with. Details below.

Rich Pfizer Executive Fighting For Custody Of Girlfriend’s Baby
Jonathan Sporn, a rich executive at the pharmaceutical company Pfizer, has petitioned to get custody of his late girlfriend’s son. He was dating Leann Leutner, a powerful Manhattan lawyer, before she took her life by jumping out of the window of her apartment. The two were dating, but not married and could not have a baby so decided to get in-vitro fertilization. A sperm donor fathered Leann’s son. Leann’s son was born last July and while Sporn was the happiest man he has ever been , Leann suffered from post-partum depression and had already been a troubled soul. Now that the mother is gone, Sporn’s son was taken away from him because he is not the biological father! He has petitioned to get his son back and raise him. Hopefully he does! Steph B

Just weeks before he was supposed to stand trial for stealling millions of journal articles from an electronic archive to try to make them freely available, 26-year-old and co-founder of Reddit.com Aaron Swartz, was found dead in his Brooklyn apartment. Swartz hung himself to avoid facing years behind bars and a crazy amount of fines. Swartz was arrested in 2010 for stealing journals from the archive at MIT.
