Tech Talk News: Sprint Rolls Out New 4G LTE Tablet Plans

With Sprint pretty much ditching 4G for 4G LTE.  Sprint decided to roll out some new Tablet service prices for its new 4G LTE service its offering for it’s up coming tablets.   Sprint is known for its unlimited and cheaper plans but it looks like Sprint maybe ditching that idea and looking to compete with the prices of At&t and Verizon.  Sprint’s 4G LTE hasn’t been on the mobile market that long and these prices they are offering are a bit of a stretch. Tech Talk Mobile: Sprint Brings Back Push To Talk To Android

Remember the good old days of using your PTT (Push To Talk ) on your Nextel. After smartphones hit the mainstream everyone put away their Nextels and moved on to Blackberrys (and then we move on from those).  Well Sprint is trying to keep the Nextel spirit alive by having a PTT option on your Android device as an app.  How useful will it be who knows but just having the option is good enough. Tech Talk Mobile: At&t Not Happy With Sprint Acquiring Clearwire

At&t is not happy about the deal with Sprint and Clearwire.  At&t has’nt forgotten about the damage Sprint did when they blocked the merge between At&t and T-mobile.  At&t is not too happy with the Spectrum space that Sprint will acquire though Clearwire.  I’m sure At&t will take this to the FCC sooner than later. Tech Talk Mobile: Is Sprint Ready To Compete With Verizon & At&t

After Softbank and Sprint announced their big deal yesterday, Sprint now has amassed $8 Billion to their bank accounts.   This could be trouble to their competitors.   With failed deals with Nextel and 4G deal with clear, Sprint can now revamp themselves to compete with At&t and Verizon.  Hopfully Sprint will do some good with this money and not make terrible decisons.  The ball is now in Dan Hesse’s court. Tech Talk Mobile: Softbank Acquires 70 percent of Sprint

Today SoftBank (which is not a bank)  acquired 70 percent of Sprint.  What does this mean for Sprint?   Sprint gets a nice piece  of change from Softbank, and according to reports Software Bank is willing to cough up $20.1 billion.  This is cash Sprint definitely needs to help that struggling network.  Now hopefully Sprint can compete with Verizon and At&t.
