Frank Ocean hit the scene in 2011 with his Nostalgia Ultra mixtape, and turned it into an album for his major label debut, channel ORANGE, in 2012. Since then, however, we haven’t heard too much from the Odd Future singer, save for a feature here and there. Thankfully, album number 2 is on the way! Taking to his Tumblr late last night, Frank (who no longer has Twitter or Instagram, so it’s not as easy to keep up with him) reposted a photo from the studio (taken by photographer Nabil), revealing that his sophomore project is currently in progress and coming soon. French Montana Reveals ‘Mac & Cheese 4’ Will Be His Sophomore Album!
French Montana’s Mac & Cheese mixtape series is quite popular amongst his hardcore fan base, and some time ago, the Bronx rapper announced the fourth installment was in the works. In a new interview with Sowmya Krishnamurthy for Rolling Stone, he revealed that instead of another free mixtape, MC4 is actually going to serve as his sophomore album! “I’m going back to the essence on this album,” French said of the follow up to his 2013 debut via Bad Boy/Interscope, Excuse My French. “We’re giving the fans that grew up on me what they want. When we made the other music, it was just to be a little different and not do the same thing over.” He hopes to have the first single out in the next two months. Haaan!

Push revealed in December that he and the iconic production duo would be locking themselves in the studio for 20 days straight this month, locked and loaded for King Push, the follow-up to Pusha’s debut album, My Name Is My Name. I’m so excited to hear what comes out of these sessions!
