Earlier this year, the law sided against Hip-Hop mogul 50 Cent and he lost a hefty lawsuit against Sleek Audio, his first project prior to launching his now popular SMS Audio. Fif was sued after apparently stealing Sleek’s design and using it to help market headphones for SMS. The original lawsuit stated that 50 owes a total of $16 million dollars, which ended up coming out to $17.2 million after legal fees were added to the total amount due. Unfortunately for for G-Unit soldier, if you don’t pay a legal judgement, the law has the ability to freeze your personal bank account until all fines are paid up-to-date. As of now, the Queens native can’t even take out $20 from the ATM because his account is off limits until he’s all paid up. However, a source close to 50 Cent reveals that the rapper has full access to all his business accounts, but his personal account will be shut all the way down until further notice. Moral of the story: PAY YOUR FINES, PEOPLE! For some reason, I still don’t think 50 Cent is hurting in the money department. Even after he pays the $17.2 million dollars he owes, Fif will still be doing justtttttttt fine in the financial department. Must be nice.. SMH!
This was one of the best interviews we’ve had in a while, Flex asked the questions, and 50 answered pretty much all of them! He was asked about G-Unit, Jimmy Iovine, BeatsByDre, Dr. Dre, the interaction with Steve Stoute, his opinion on the Jay Z/Drake situation…he even answers some questions that weren’t asked!!
Last month, 50 Cent left his longtime record label Interscope after launching his career with them over a decade ago. In a newly released clip from his recent chat with MTV’s Rob Markman, Fif breaks down the decision, explaining how the label’s marketing of Beats By Dre was a huge factor in the departure.
Curtis Jackson and his crew went overseas and made a special stop in Israel to promote his new SMS Audio headphones line. Fif stopped at a variety of different stores, radio stations, basketball team meetings, clubs and more. Check out the footage below!
