Last year, Shanesha Taylor ripped through headlines after leaving her six-month-old and two-year-old children in a hot vehicle to go on a job interview. Well, as of Friday, May 15th, Taylor have been sentenced by the Maricopa County courts and it is a pretty hefty price to pay. Check out the jump for more details.

Shanesha Taylor has dug herself in a hole and now, there is no way out. After leaving her two boys in a one hundred degree temperature vehicle, making sure she got to a job interview, Taylor was arrested and charged with child abuse. After the community raised more than $100,000 to help, she was given the opportunity to turn a terrible situation into a great one, but that didn’t happen. Because of her actions and lack-thereof, the mother of two has now plead guilty to child abuse, which has resulted in a 10-year probation sentence.

Shanesha Taylor is the Arizona woman who was arrested and charged with endangering her two-year-old and six-month-old children after leaving them in a 100 degree heated car so that she could go on a job interview. Now released, Taylor stops by the Today Show and talks about that fateful day and what she’s doing with the $115,000 dollars that was raised for her in a kickstarter campaign. “That money is going into a trust account for the children.” Something good has come of all this. Taylor is also advising others on how to go about things if they ever have to deal with a situation similar to her own. “The message is I understand your family is in crisis, but reach out, seek that help,” she says. “There are the non-profit sectors that have stepped up to fill those gaps and make sure that families that are in crisis are taken care of, so just reach out.” Well said.
