As we approach the 100 day anniversary of the tragic massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT the parents of Emile Parker are speaking out. Robbie Parker, who was one of the first parents to speak post shooting, and his wife sat down with CBS to open up about how they are doing and more. Recently reports show that Lanza had a 7 foot spreadsheet listing all mass killings and what weapons they used as well as the fact that he planned on killing more students. The Parkers also told CBS that they met with Adam Lanza’s father, Peter. Watch more below.
Los Angeles Residents Hands Over More Than 2,000 Weapons In A Buyback Program
First Camden, now Los Angeles. Annually, LA has a buyback program, where residents are allowed to hand over weapons and they get something in return. This year the residents gets $100 gift cards for groceries, and depending on the type of weapon you can get a $200 gift card. This program usually happens in May, but Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa had decided to push it up in light of the Sandy Hook Elementary incidents. Good move. Geneticists Looking For Mutant Gene In Newtown Shooter That Could Have Triggered The Attack

NBA: Heat & Thunder Will Wear Ribbons In Honor Of Newtown, Ct Victims
Thought and prayers go out to all the families affected by the Newtown, CT tragedy on this Christmas morning. Athletes continue to keep the victims in their thoughts as well. I am happy to see some of these iconic players didn’t just do one dedication to the victims and keep it moving. In memory of the lives lost at sandy hook elementary, the Miami Heat and Oklahoma City Thunder will both wear ribbons on their jerseys during the huge Christmas day game today.
