J. Cole is having quite the year! With his sophomore album Born Sinner making a strong debut against some stiff competition, it then skyrocketed to number one just two weeks later, and now he has even better news! This week, the album’s lead single, “Power Trip” (featuring Miguel) has officially hit the one million mark in sales. Congrats! Keep supporting and cop the album here.
The big talk of the music world is who will prevail in the Kanye West vs. J. Cole first-week-sales battle (with Yeezus and Born Sinner, respectively) and if the UK’s results are any indication, Yeezy is going to come out on top! [PAUSE!] However, the numbers are nowhere near what they’ll be looking at in the U.S…doing just 25k (for Yeezus) and 12k (for Born Sinner..putting him in at #7), as opposed to the six figure numbers they’re on track to do here. No word on what Mac Miller did there, but he didn’t make the top 10. Late tomorrow we’ll have the final results for the U.S. sales. Who ya got at number one?!
The shoe game is ridiculous. I love me some kicks, but the price some people pay for their kicks is bananas…especially sneakerheads! Forbes recently released sales numbers for U.S. retail sales in 2012 and the numbers are crazy. Can you guess who took the number one spot? No one even came close to touching him! Check it out…
