Jerry Heller founded Ruthless Records with Eazy-E in 1986, which would launch some of hip hop’s greatest careers in the history of the game. From all the legendary members of NWA from Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, to other iconic rap groups like Bone Thugs In Harmony, Ruthless Records was doing great numbers and was the biggest upstart Record company of the time. Recently in an interview Jerry Heller, who maintains that him and Eazy had a father and son like relationship, said that Eazy-E made plans to kill Suge Knight, prior to Suge’s apparent takeover of the L.A. Rap scene. Eazy who’s real name was Eric Wright, told Jerry that he wanted to kill Suge Knight as a strategic move, but Heller who said the company was taking in $10 Million dollars a month talked Eazy out of it though now he might regret it. Heller was quoted as saying, “You know something? I should have let him kill him. You know? I would have done the world a favor. He would have done it for sure by himself. He always rolled by himself and he was fearless…I think that he was going to go do it. I took him seriously. He was right and I was wrong, I shouldn’t have talked him out of it. Ruthless would probably still be around. Dr. Dre and Ice Cube would probably still be with Ruthless. It would have been an empire.” To hear more of what Jerry had to say, check the interview down bellow.
