Much like Fetty Wap, Rich Homie Quan’s hair went from 0-100 real quick this weekend.
Almost a year ago to the day, Rich Homie Quan filed suit against his former label, T.I.G. Records. In the $2 million suit, Quan accused T.I.G.‘s owner of stealing his money to buy himself a home in Atlanta, pocketing way too much from the deal Quan had signed with Def Jam for distribution of his singles, “Flex” and “Type Of Way.” Months later, T.I.G. fired back with a counter-suit, accusing him of breaching their contract, and they’re also demanding an injunction against him from releasing any music, as well as prohibiting him from signing with another record label. As of today, however, all parties have settled.
CMG’s Blac Youngsta links up with Rich Homie Quan on this one called “Beat It.” Listen below.
By now, we’ve all heard how badly Rich Homie Quan butchered Biggie’s verse on “Get Money” during his tribute performance at Hip-Hop Honors on Monday night. While discussing the flub on her show the next day, Wendy Williams attempted to give the Atlanta native a little rap lesson – problem is, she didn’t have the words right either! “You wanna sip Mo’ on my living room floor,” Wendy rapped – so far, so good. “Play Nintendo with Cease A Leo.” Incorrect, ma’am!
Rich Homie Quan screwing up (aka completely forgetting) Biggie’s lyrics at Hip-Hop Honors on Monday night was the flub heard ’round the world. Naturally, everyone has something to say about it, because as a hip-hop artist, there’s no reason you shouldn’t know “Get Money” word for word – no matter where you’re from! Not only that, but it’s not like you were called out of your seat and asked to perform it out of the blue. How could you be so unprepared to honor such a legend at a LIVE show?
