Floyd Mayweather retired but his name is still constantly being brought up in terms of potential fights.  The latest occurred shortly after Canelo Alvarez defeated Miguel Cotto this past Saturday.  Alvarez was asked if he’d be interested in a rematch with Mayweather to which he and his promoter Oscar De La Hoya both said they’d be open to it.  Well Mayweather isn’t with it.


Boxing: Report, Manny Pacquiao Demands Rematch With Floyd Mayweather Amid Allegations Of Doping

Earlier this week, reports came out, accusing Floyd Mayweather of basically cheating before his fight with Manny Pacquiao by using a banned IV the night before the showdown. Floyd claims he went through all the necessary steps to get permission and made a statement reiterating that he has never failed a drug test. The IV didn’t have any banned substances inside of it but the fact he took the solution in that manner is the alleged problem. Manny Pacquiao and his camp are all over the story, demanding a rematch.

After the last fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao went down, it was obvious that Pacquiao would want a rematch. Following his shoulder repair, Pac-Man says he is open to fighting Money May at some point in 2016.

Mayweather was so heated after finding out that Manny Pacquiao blamed his poor performance against Mayweather on a bum shoulder he suffered in practice, that Mayweather vowed to never give Pacquiao a rematch! Well, it looks like behind the scenes, we may actually get a Mayweather-Pacman 2, as it’s being reported that negations are under way for a rematch.

Floyd Mayweather has already said he will not give Manny Pacquiao a rematch because he is angry and tired of hearing excuses as to why he lost, instead of Pacquiao’s camp giving Floyd credit for the win. It appears he is serious because he is already mentally moving forward and preparing for a fight this September where he says he will be the one picking who he wants to fight and he doesn’t care what anyone says.
