Officials say hate crimes have now gone up since Donald Trump won the presidential election. In NYC there has been about 43 cases deemed hate crimes by the Police Department’s Hate Crime Task Force since Election Day. This is double the number from last year. This is a 35% increase from last year.

Monday, Pharrell appeared as a special guest on the Ellen DeGeneres Show where he revealed the change he would like to see in the White House for the upcoming 2016 presidential election. According to Pharrell, “It’s time for a woman to be in there.” He explained to Ellen, although he does love our current President Barack Obama, women approach issues differently. He said, “Women think about things in a holistic way. It’s not so individual. I’m saying I’m happy to be a man, but I love women. The thing is, if we had somebody looking after our country that thought about things as a whole, I just feel like it just would be different. Not that I don’t love our current president.
