A bankruptcy judge in Florida ruled earlier this week that photos taken in 1946 of Marilyn Monroe (then known as Norma Jean Doughtery) will be sold at auction to settle the debts of the photographer. You know the saying, “everything is bigger in Texas”? Well, that DEFINITELY applies to Mama Knowles 8,885 square foot mansion in Houston. This place is HUGE and breathtaking and while $3.499 million is still a lot…that pales in comparison to what a home like that would cost in many other places, especially out here in NY/NJ. The 5 bedroom, 5 bath house was purchased by Bey in 2004 and the title was then transferred to her mom.The crib boasts a carved stone fireplace, multilevel formal living and dining room, and a 50 foot wall of floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the backyard pool. Last week, paparazzi shots of Johnny Depp wearing ghostly white makeup, large sunglasses and a pulled down fedora (see above) made fans of the original soap opera form the 60’s rather nervous, as the Dark Shadows remake seemed like it was going to be a bit too strange.
