Its one of the most competitive gold tournemanets between Europe and America, contested every two years with the venue alternating between courses in the USA and Europe. After playing the first five holes Thursday at 3 under, Woods fell apart on his way to a 7-over 77. He knocked two balls in the water, spent much of his day in the sand and wound up with three double bogeys and five bogeys.
