George W. Bush praised the 40 passengers and crew who fought back against their Flight 93 hijackers on 9/11 for carrying out what he described as one of the most courageous acts in U.S. history. He spoke at the Flight 93 memorial in Pennsylvania as events across the country began to mark the anniversary. Wow, Â it is extremely saddening to see the conditions of these places– especially the ones that hit so close to home. As the flash floods continue, hundreds of thousands of people have been forced to evacuate and leave their homes and personal belongings behind in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. (The flooding has been in most of these places since Irene hit almost 2 weeks ago!!) Counting my blessings that my home and family are okay and sending my prayers to the families and people deeply effected by this mess! Greyhound Bus Overturns on Turnpike, 14 Passengers Hospitalized
The driver of a Greyhound bus bound for St. Louis lost control on the Pennsylvania Turnpike early Saturday, sending the bus careering across the highway and up an embankment before it landed on its side on the interstate, briefly trapping a woman and sending 14 people to hospitals, authorities said.
