Yesterday, the big story on the web was that Drake may have insinuated his ex, Rihanna, was the “devil,” after pictures and video from his OVO Fest showcased some interesting imagery. During his performance of “Days In The East,” Drizzy flashed images of a flaming Rihanna, in between images of equally ablaze 6’s. First reported to have only been 3 6’s (which is the devil’s number,) many concert goers later clarified that there were way more than just 3 that flashed on the screen. Taking to Twitter, Drake further elaborated on that point, explaining that the use of the 6 was solely in reference to his forthcoming album, Views From The 6. However, he didn’t actually say why he chose to show photos of Rihanna (whom he referred to as “a great girl”) during the set, which is still quite an interesting part of the story. The “Days In The East” track has been said to be about Rih as it samples a line from her 2012 track “Stay” and is riddled with lyrics about loving a woman that may not be good for him but wanting her anyway, so it’s likely that was the reason. Kind of awkward considering his new friendship with Chris Brown though, no?
