Last night the NBA world was rocked when the Oklahoma City Thunder traded James Harden to the Houston Rockets. Harden was seeking a max contract worth four years $60 million which would put the Thunder over the salary cap. The Thunder unlike the Lakers weren’t willing to go over the cap and suffer the new steeper luxury tax penalty. According to Yahoo Sports they offered Harden up to $54 million which he rejected so general manager Sam Presti moved swiftly to trade him avoiding any Dwight-like drama. Read more after the jump. Breaking News! NBA: James Harden Has Been Traded to the Houston Rockets!
Earlier today there were reports that James Harden and the Oklahoma City Thunder were working on a contract extension. Harden reportedly turned down a four-year $52 million extension as he was seeking a max contract from the Thunder for four years worth $60 million. NBA: Coach Scott Brooks and Oklahoma City Thunder Agree to 4-Year Deal

NBA: New York Knicks Interested in Signing Derek Fisher
Derek Fisher is currently playing with the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Finals on a quest to get another ring. Â He’s provided good off the bench offense hitting his signature corner jumpshot.
