Odell Beckham Jr. lost his cool again during the New York Giants’ 24-10 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, where he had a career-low 23 receiving yards. Beckham was exchanging verbal barbs with Vikings cornerback Xavier Rhodes for several plays when Rhodes hit Beckham out of bounds after a 4-yard catch. The referees did not penalize Rhodes for the late hit, but Beckham was hit with an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty when he charged and bumped Rhodes. Beckham said he has to do a better job of understanding that he’s one of the most targeted players in the NFL.

Last month the state of Louisiana and more specifically the baton rouge area, were hit hard by massive flooding which cost multiple people their lives and destroyed homes and neighborhoods. Odell Beckham is a native of the state and played his college football at Louisiana State University and because of that he felt the destruction more than many other people, even without physically being there. He decided to do something about it and announced via twitter that he will be donating $500,000 to repair playing fields that were ruined so kids will have somewhere to play and practice.

While many people are out there worrying about whether Colin Kaepernick is going to stand for the national anthem, the NFL itself has been up to some very shady things. So many people have accused Kap of disrespecting our military and vets but I bet most of you have no clue the NFL actually CHARGED the government more than $6 million dollars last season to honor vets during games. As if that isn’t bad enough, they are also threatening to fine any player who pays tribute to 9-11 victims this weekend if they use any part of their uniform for the tribute. Luckily for players, they have a major supporter who is willing to step up and pay fines for any player who feels the wrath of the NFL.

Odell Beckham Jr. and LeBron James have gone past a friendship and formed a big brother/little brother type of relationship. It began after James saluted OBJ for his welcome-to-stardom catch. Among the thousands of messages Beckham received, he said LeBron’s meant the most because the king is his all-time favorite athlete. The two dined together soon after and continued to hang out, including a workout session where OBJ says LeBron showed him what it takes to go all the way.

The New York Giants have missed the playoffs for four straight years but they believe this upcoming season will end the drought. Quarterback Eli Manning says they’ll ‘definitely’ make the playoffs with the moves they made in the offseason (mostly to the defense) and the great guys they have coming back on the offense. Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. went even further and said they’re going to the Super Bowl.

I’m sure you remember the issues between Odell Beckham Jr. and Josh Norman (we covered it extensively on here). Towards the end of the season, the Panthers were undefeated at the time and continuing their push towards the Super Bowl; it was a loss season for the Giants but they didn’t want to go out quietly. The focus of the game ended up being the ongoing tussling and fighting between cornerback Norman and wide receiver Beckham. OBJ was flagged for three unnecessary roughness penalties, twice on the same drive in the third quarter, including a deliberate shot to Norman’s head with a helmet-to-helmet collision. Norman also drew an unnecessary roughness penalty. Beckham was suspended for one game while Norman was fined $26,044 for his involvement. In a recent interview with GQ, Beckham discussed one of the things he learned while living with Drake is to stop allowing people to make a name off him. The person he’s mainly talking about is Josh Norman.
