NFL: Packers Charles Woodson Fined $10K For Throwing Punch

Posted by Sabrina B. @gametimegirl The NFL fined Green Bay Packers cornerback Charles Woodson $10,000 for throwing a punch in the regular-season opener against the New Orleans Saints, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. The Packers were penalized 15 yards in the third quarter for Woodson’s punch. He wasn’t ejected.

Clay Travis of OutKicktheCoverage.com passed along a photo of one Jaguars fan that dressed up a skeleton with a torn-up and bloody Steve McNair jersey. The skeleton was proudly displayed outside his car while tailgating before the game.


NFL: Brian Urlacher Leaves Bears After Death Of Mother

Posted by Sabrina B. @gametimegirl Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher left the team to be with his family after the passing of his mother, Lavoyda Lenard, who died Tuesday at her home outside of Mount Pleasant, Texas. “My mother, Lavoyda, unexpectedly passed away Monday at her home in Texas,” Urlacher said in a statement. “My first priority right now is to be with my family as we mourn her loss and make the arrangements to lay her to rest. This is a very difficult and emotional time for us and I sincerely ask that you respect our privacy. Thank you.”

NFL: Retired Players File Federal Lawsuit Against Tom Brady & NFLPA
