In the wake of the tragic shootings in Newtown this past Friday, singer Ke$ha’s top-charting single “Die Young” plummeted off radio charts after TONS of stations have decided to pull the song. Lyrics like, “Let’s make the most of the night like we’re gonna die young” are obviously some sensitive material in this time of mourning. Now, Ke$ha has taken to Twitter to respond to the issue. (Emotional Video) Newtown Massacre: Teacher Saved Her Students By Hiding Them In Bathroom
Kaitlin Roig, 29, ushered 15 of her 1st grade students into a bathroom after Adam Lanza shot out the classroom windows. All her students were strong and brave, listening to her when she asked them to be quiet. One student even mentioned he knew karate, so he could lead the way out. Which Popular Song Was Pulled Off The Radio After Newtown Massacre? (Dropping 19 MILLION Listeners!)
I never really thought about something like this happening but it does make sense. After last week’s terrible tragedy, a recent party hit has officially fallen on deaf ears. This hit went from #3 on the charts on Friday (the day of the massacre), with 167 million listeners nationwide. A Facebook page was started called ” Thank God for Sandy Hook because they didn’t read the good book.” The creator of this book hides behind “Free Speech” and exercises the right to say what he or she wants, but this is NO time to be insensitive! Many things are becoming hard to believe in this cold world, but wack are you for hiding behind a FB page and using social media to stir up people’s emotions?
