The Knicks almost found a way to blow a 26 point 4th quarter lead, but in the end they were able to hang on for an 88-80 victory over the Celtics to win their first playoff series since 2000. The Knicks seemed to get very comfortable and careless with the big lead late in the game and you can see it in the way they started playing. Boston took advantage and cut the lead down to 4 at one point. A few late baskets by Carmelo Anthony & JR Smith helped seal the win, however both Melo & Smith played pretty poorly most of the night. New York needed good games from Iman Shumpert and Pablo Prigoni to help get the win. In the end, a win is a win in the playoffs, but the Knicks better be ready for a tough series next round with the Indiana Pacers. Check out the interview with Melo after the game.

Whoa buddy. You better slow down there Joakim. The way things have been going for Chicago lately, guaranteeing a win is the last thing he should be doing. The Bulls at one point were up 3-1 in the 7 game series, but after last nights loss to Brooklyn, it is now tied 3-3 and headed back to BK for the deciding game. Russell Westbrook underwent successful surgery to repair the torn meniscus in his right knee on Saturday, Oklahoma City officially announced. He will make a full recovery.
