Senate Approves $170 Million To Help Flint With The Water
Another good note to end the year with. With a breakthrough in the Dakota Pipeline, Joe McKnight’s killer being charged with manslaughter and now this, it feels like things aren’t ALL bad all around. The U.S. Senate has approved a bill to send $170 million in federal funds to help clean the water in Flint, which has been brown for a LONG time because it was contaminated by lead. The breakdown is as follows: – $100 million to help fix the drinking water system – $50 million for healthcare for children who suffered lead poisoning – $20 million to forgive Flint’s old drinking water loans
