Jamie Foxx To Portray Martin Luther King Jr. In New Biopic?!
I’m excited about this TLC biopic coming this month, but this one I could also see happening! Jamie Foxx is an extraordinary actor, and for him to step his game up and take on a character such as Martin Luther King Jr. would only amplify his career. It’s being said that Jamie will portray MLK in a biopic directed by Oliver Stone. DreamWorks/Warner Bros. hasn’t etched this in stone [pun intended], but I have my fingers crossed. We just celebrated his birthday a few months back, however this is a historical figure who could never be mentioned enough. Today marks the 45th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassination. A hero who was heavily involved in the civil rights movement spoke out and allowed others who were too afraid, to have a voice. In his last speech, “I’ve been to the Mountaintop” MLK mentioned, “Longevity has its place,” and he may not have had it in life (some would say), but he will forever have it after death.
