3 people shot, 5 injured during a Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration at Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park. Miami-Dade Police responded to the shooting just before 4 p.m. Three people were transported to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital. One of those three were taken to the trauma unit.

Kent State University in Ohio has been casting for a play about Martin Luther King Jr.’s life they’re calling “The Mountaintop.” However, their version is a tad bit different from what we’re used to seeing. They casted a white man to star as the leading role. A white MLK? Ummm….

In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Kim Kardashian posted up a vintage video of her hubby, Kanye West, reciting an MLK poem back in 1990 when he was only 12-years-old in middle school! (It’s hilarious because he still has a similar voice, just deeper now.) She captioned the YouTube link via her Twitter page, “I wish I posted this yesterday! IFWT Honors “I Have A Dream” Speech 50 Year Anniversary!!!
It has been 50 years since the historic “March On Washington” happened lead by Martin Luther King and many other brave brothers and sisters. At this march the historic “I Have A Dream Speech” happened on August 28, 1963. This speech and march changed things forever and continues to do so in the land of America for minorities. Out in Florida, The Zimmerman/Trayvon case is still ringing bells causing this artist in the sunshine state to create a mural of George Zimmerman shooting a hooded Trayvon Martin and blood on Martin Luther King. The mural was created by Florida native Huong, and the painting is called “We are all Trayvon Martin”. Check out the video report after the jump.
