It all began when the California rapper said, “If we get y’all to vote yes on Proposition 2, Snoop Dogg is coming to Alaska to do a concert, a wellness retreat concert, and I’m bringing some of that California with me to celebrate,” during an episode of his Double G News webcast. Snoop’s Alaskan fans went out to vote on marijuana legalization, during this past Tuesday’s midterm elections. Guess what? It happened. The bill was passed, and now, everyone is remembering Snoop’s September words. “Soooooo…bout that @SnoopDogg concert in alaska,” a fan tweeted, and “@SnoopDogg Will you be playing a show in #Fairbanks on your upcoming Alaska tour? #AKpot #promises,” another tweeted. Voters in Alaska, Oregon and Washington D.C took to the polls and are now in the process of bringing more pro marijuana laws to their state. There are some restrictions, but marijuana supporters are calling this a victory.
