Today, March 14 (3/14) is Pi Day, a celebration of the ratio of a circle’s area. A physicist named Larry Shaw created Pi Day back in 1988 to appreciate the wonders of Pi. It’s technically written as 3.14159, or 3.14 for short. Pi is used in trigonometry, physics, statistics and cosmology just to name a few.
