Lil Wayne had everyone shaking their heads with his recent Black Lives Matter comments. Wayne recently did an interview in which he stated he could not identify with the group. People were not happy about these comments, including his good friend T.I. who spoke upon his feelings via Instagram. Joe Budden is now speaking out on his comments and expressing his feelings.
Last week, Lil Wayne appeared on Nightline for an interview, and we’ve been talking about it ever since. His comments on the Black Lives Matter movement were disgusting, and though he’s since apologized and said that he only said it because he was upset over a previous question about his daughter. For most, that’s simply not enough. Taking to Instagram over the weekend, T.I. called his friend out in a lengthy post, telling him that he really needs to step up for the kids who look up to him, and he’s happy to sever their friendship if it means that Wayne will reflect on his actions. It’s a powerful message and one I think was necessary on a public platform, but Wayne‘s response appeared to be simply, “Fk ya.”
So this past week Lil Wayne made what a lot of people (myself included) are seeing as irresponsible comments towards the Black Lives Matter movement. The most notable comment he made was that
“if you feel connected to it your crazy”.
The comments were made on several platforms such as Night line NBC and on stage at a performance. Lately T.I. called Floyd Mayweather out on his irresponsible comments towards Black Lives Matter so when Wayne’s comments surfaced, naturally everyone looked at T.I.. Wayne and T.I. are very close but that didn’t stop Tip from calling Wayne out on his nonsense. Wayne’s response? “Fck Ya”. Check out more on the story after the jump.
Weezy’s been the breaking news as of late because of his stance and view on Black Lives Matter. Truth is he and his team were rapidly trying to block the whole interview from seeing the light of day, probably because they realized the thunderstorm it would cause and oh weren’t they right.
Lil Wayne has now apologized for his ‘Black Lives Matter’ rant. Earlier we reported that Wayne said he does not identify with the group. He says he got aggravated about the question on his daughter which caused him to go all the way off.
