Inspired by her classic 1996 album of the same name that introduced the pint-sized Brooklyn raptress to the game, Lil Kim will be releasing her Hardcore mixtape this week. It’s been a long time coming, considering she announced it way back in July of 2013, and was set to drop it last Halloween…but clearly, she had way more important things to tend to. Nevertheless, Hardcore the mixtape will finally drop on Thursday at 9:11pm EST, and above is the project’s artwork. Compare it with the album cover in the gallery!

Earlier this year (during NYFW), Lil Kim mad the big announcement that she was with-child. Since then, the Queen Bee has given birth to a beautiful baby girl and well, although she misses her when she has to work, the upcoming Hardcore 2K14 must get finished. During this year’s NYFW, Lil Kim gave a preview of the mixtape with a performance at NYC’s Up & Down. OMG! A hot mess. After Nicki Minaj bounced that a** on the VMA stage to her “Anaconda” track and then assisted Jessie J and Ariana Grande for “Bang Bang,” K. Michelle went to twitter to express her opinion on Nick’s performance. “Yessss to the Queen of rap. Nicki did that! Jessie J sings her face all the way off. #Salute,” K tweeted. That set it OFF! After Nicki was put on that, “Flawless” remix and self-proclaimed Queen of Rap some weeks back, the real Queen B jumped in and added her own remix.
