Still, he faced stiff competition for Sports Illustrated’s prestigious “Sportsperson of the Year” title. What put him head and shoulders above the others, is the work he’s done in his community. Now only he joins Tiger Woods as the only two-time winners of the award.

Lebron James made sure the entire Ohio State football team was laced in his Lebron Solider 10 cleats but he wanted to be there in person to see how they looked. Bron took a bunch of his Cavs teammates to the Ohio State vs Michigan game, including J.R. Smith, Richard Jefferson and Tristan Thompson. It didn’t take long before J.R. was trying to run receiver routes on the field.

New York Knicks president Phil Jackson created quite a firestorm when he referred to LeBron James and his friends/business partners as a “posse.” LeBron James put his childhood friends on and they became extremely successful businessman, so they took offense to the word and the racial undertones it carries. Carmelo Anthony is the Knicks star player but he’s also a very close friend of LeBron; they form “The Brotherhood” with Chris Paul and Dwyane Wade. Anthony sided with his friend, saying Jackson might not have meant any harm by the word, but it shouldn’t have been said.
