New Developments! Sony Reveals The Have NO Power Over Kesha’s Contract – It’s ALL Dr. Luke!
This is crazy! As you know, Kesha has been in court fighting to get out of her recording contract under Dr. Luke/Sony, as she alleges that Dr. Luke has abused and raped her over the course of their 10-year working relationship. A judge ruled in Luke’s favor in court last week, saying that Kesha can simply record with other producers under the Sony umbrella, and she doesn’t need to be released from her contract to do so. (The trial addressing the abuse allegations has yet to begin.) However, there are some new developments! Following their other star artists like Adele, Lady Gaga and more speaking out in support of Kesha, it appears that Sony is feeling the heat. They have released a statement on the matter, and they are WIPING THEIR HANDS CLEAN, putting it ALL on Dr. Luke!
Bill Cosby Drops Lawsuit Against Beverly Johnson
Bill Cosby just put his defamation lawsuit against supermodel Beverley Johnson on hold. According to reports, Cosby and his team of lawyers asked the judge to dismiss the defamation case against the supermodel. In the suit he claims she purposely slandered Cosby in order get people talking about her again. Cosby is currently dealing with the Andrea Constand case and simply can not focus on all the cases at one time. Cosby’s lawyers state however, once the Constand case is over with, the defamation suit will be refiled, before the statute of limitations runs out.

News spread that Jason Pierre-Paul injured his fingers while playing with fireworks on the Fourth of July. There were rumors that he lost a finger but no one was quite sure if he did or how many then ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter got ahold of JPP’s medical records and posted them on Twitter. Schefter found himself under fire with many people upset that he went so far. Well now JPP is apparently taking action.
The Game Asks Judge To Overturn Ruling In $10 Million Sexual Assault Lawsuit
Prior to the launch of The Game’s VH1 reality TV show, ‘She’s Got Game’ contest Priscilla Rainey filed a $10 million lawsuit against the Compton rapper. In the suit, Rainey claimed, Game got intoxicated and “out of control” during a video shoot last year and he “forcefully reach[ed] his hand inside her dress to rub her bare vagina and buttocks.” The Game allegedly never responded to the lawsuit, and the judge ruled against him by default. The case was back in court Wednesday (February 24th) and the judge was supposed to determine weather he will have to pay the full $10 million in damages. However, Game filed for the judge to overturn the ruling as he was never properly served the papers for the case. According to Rainey’s camp, they tried to serve him with the paper work over 40 times. They state, they tried to serve the rapper at his home, however he was on tour and was not there, so they tried reaching him through his former agent and attorney, who did not relay the message. The Game told the court that she should have tried reaching him at the studio or the gym. Stay tuned, we’ll keep you updated as this unfolds.
