Poet Maya Angelou is disappointed with one of her biggest supporters and poetry pal, Common. Angelou wrote and recited a poem for a new song by Common titled “Dreamer” off of his album The Dreamer/The Believer, in stores Dec. 20. ‘Star Wars’ Now An Official Religion
The results of the Czech Republic’s new census unveiled this month reveal that 15,070 citizens of the country listed their religion as Knights of the Jedi. While that may pale in comparison to the 1.08 million people who self-identified as Catholics, it’s still a sizable portion of people who believe — or jokingly claim to — in the intangible energy made famous by the “Star Wars” films. (Video) Mother Allegedly Murders Her Family Of Four Before Shooting Herself
Five people, including three children, were shot to death in a suspected murder-suicide in Emington, Illinois, a farming community of only 100, 80 miles southwest of Chicago, officials there say. Police have not yet identified who they believe was the shooter, but a neighbor said today she saw Sara McMeen, 30, shoot her 10-month baby Friday before apparently taking her own life.
