Sarah Hoildahl, a 22 year old single mother, works as a server at Ruby Tuesday in Concord, New Hampshire. Two members from the National Guard were sat in her section and soon Sarah over heard the soldier’s conversation about not being paid because of the government shut down and furloughs. Upon hearing this the single mother decided lunch would be on her, writing the message on a napkin to the patrons. A picture of the message was put on Facebook and gained so much attention, Sarah was invited to the Ellen DeGeneres Show. To find out how Ellen rewarded the good deed, click below.
A 48 year old stenographer for the White House, Diane Reidy, was escorted off the floor by security during Wednesday’s government shut down vote. Reidy calmy approached the podium, normally used by President Obama, in front of Congress and proceeded to go on a rant bashing the government. She started by yelling, “He will not be mocked. He will not be mocked.” As officials tried to calm her, she snapped at those who were trying to touch her. Diane continued her rant, saying:
“The greatest deception here is this is not one nation under God. It never was! Had it been … the Constitution would not have been written by Freemasons, they go against God. You cannot serve two masters.”
After being questioned by authorities, Diane Reidy was sent to the hospital for a mental health evaluation and then sent home. When questioned by the news, Diane said that she had the outburst because the Holy Spirit had been waking her up in the middle of the night for 2 weeks and telling her to deliver the message in the House Chamber. Do you think she’s telling the truth or does she have some screws loose in her head? You decide. To see video footage of Diane Reidy’s rant, click below.
