Former Democratic representative, Gabrielle Giffords, is speaking out about the gun control bill being denied earlier today. Gabby Giffords was shot in January 2011 and has had a very long road to recovery. Although she has gained many motor skills back, she is still not 100%. Since the Aurora movie theater shooting and especially since the Newtown massacre, Giffords joined many people speaking in defense of gun control. Gabrielle Giffords Vows To Make A Return To Congress
Gabrielle Giffords, the representative who was shot in the head on January 8 2011, has made a vow to return back to Congress. Giffords has written a book about her ordeal, including her months of physical therapy and the emotional toll the incident put on her, titled “Gabby: A Story of Courage and Hope.” In the book she says that she will not let this incident stop her from doing her job and what she loves to do.
