Auto Talk: Ford Celebrates Producing It’s 350 Millionth Vehicle
Today, Ford Motor Company produced it’s 350 millionth vehicle! The 350 millionth vehicle was a Ford Focus produced in Rayong, Thailand. “Producing 350 million vehicles is equivalent to producing one vehicle every 10 seconds for our 109-year history. If placed end to end, the vehicles would stretch to the moon and back twice,” said John Fleming, Ford executive vice president of global manufacturing, in a statement. Funk Flex
Auto Talk: Ford recalls 140,000 new Focus models over wiper concern
The National Highway Traffic Safety Association has announced on its website that Ford is recalling 140,000 Focus models built between August 1, 2010 and October 18, 2011. The defect in question is a seal in the wiring harness connector to the passenger side wiper motor that may be missing. Funk Flex

The racecar makes use of the same production EcoBoost 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and six-speed manual transmission found in the production model, though the engine has been calibrated to suck down race fuel for a little more power.
