(Video) NBA: Cheap Shot? Kings DeMarcus Cousins Suspended & Fined For Punching Rockets Patrick Beverley

Earlier this week, DeMarcus Cousins had to be held back from going after a referee after being ejected from the Kings game against the Rockets. Now Cousins has more issues from that same game. It was announced by the NBA that he will be suspended 1 game and fined $20,000 for punching Patrick Beverley of the Rockets during the game. It looked like a below the belt punch as Beverley ran by but it is hard to tell. Check it out after the jump.

(Video) NBA: WOW! Dwight Howard Fined $25,000 For This??

Dwight couldn’t take the heckling last night anymore! During the Rockets 123-120 loss to the Mavericks, Howard was being booed alot because Mavs fans still don’t like him for turning down Mark Cuban and a chance to play in Dallas. At one point Dwight throws the ball very gently into the crowd towards one fan who was running his mouth. The throw was obviously not meant to hurt anyone but the NBA was not feeling it to begin with. Howard has to be smarter than this, but I still think $25,000 is excessive for this. NBA: JR Smith Fined $25,000 For Threats On Twitter Towards Brandon Jennings

I knew this was coming. The NBA announced today that Knicks guard JR Smith will be fined $25,000 for his tweets directed at Pistons guard Brandon Jennings earlier this week. He made reference to sending some of his “Detroit people” after Jennings, which with the whole NFL bullying saga going on, the NBA itself decided it was going to take this serious. Earlier this week Jennings tweeted he was surprised JR’s brother Chris had a roster spot on the Knicks. Everything took off from there. Luckily for the Knicks Smith will not be suspended.

(Photos) NBA: Damn, Matt Barnes Fined HOW Much For Tweeting About Ejection?

Matt Barnes had a moment with his phone and now his pockets will be lighter because of it. Yesterday we showed you the profane tweet he sent out after being ejected from his Clippers game against the Thunder. He lost his cool in the locker room and vented on twitter and basically called his teammates soft, and I am being polite with the way I worded it. He deleted it quickly but the damage was done. Now he will have $25,000 worth of damage done to his bank account. That is a lot of money for a few seconds of frustration on twitter. My opinion is the NBA should not be able to fine players for what they say on twitter, as that is their private space, even though it is public. Hit the jump to see his attempt at an apology.

(Video) NBA: James Harden, First Player To Be Fined This Year For Flopping, SMH

James Harden is obviously one of the best players in the NBA. However his reputation has been growing as a flopper, and that may take away from his great skills. Harden became the first player to be fined this season after he received a $5,000 fine from the NBA. The fine came after the Rockets played the Clippers a couple days ago where Harden made it so obvious that he was flopping to get a foul call. Blake Griffin was the one who got the foul called on him and you can see he is dumbfounded. Harden was already warned once this season before the fine. Hit the jump to see the video of it.

NFL: Brandon Marshall Will Wear Green Tonight & Here’s What Will Happen After!

I understand that the NFL has rules for a reason, but they really should make exceptions on a case by case basis.  As most fans have seen, the NFL helps raise breast cancer awareness every October for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month by sporting pink gear.  Well Brandon Marshall wanted to wear the green cleats for tonight’s game in order to promote Mental Illness Awareness Week and the NFL said no.  As it turns out, the NFL changed their mind and will allow it — but not without a fine.  What?!  Yep, BUT Brandon plans on turning that fine into something better.  Check it out…
