Colombian Government Talks With Rebels To End The Violence

On neutral ground in Norway, representatives of the Colombian government and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, also know as FARC are in closed talks in an effort to end the senseless violence that plagues the country. Top Leader Of FARC Killed In Military Raid In Columbia

Alfonso Cano, the leader of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, was killed during a military raid in Columbia. Cano’s death is the huge blow to Latin America’s guerrilla army. The FARC is mostly funded by drug money and is half of a century old. Although the organization is not finished, the death of Cano is a significant lose to them and sends a message to other FARC members. Read more after the jump. Julie1205
