Ebony Nettles-Bey was one of Lebron’s biggest fans and she got to meet the King back in 2014 while he was still with the Heat. At the time she was fighting cancer and unfortunately this week she lost that battle. Lebron never forgot about her and posted a heartfelt tribute to her.

Harry Belafonte, Jesse Williams, and Zendaya represent three of the 100 individuals that the magazine has deemed “heroes of the Black community.” The honorees are recognized as as “those who lead, inspire and demonstrate through their individual talents, the very best in Black America.” Find out more after the jump.
