Strip clubs and dolla bills, Trey still got his money. Trey Songz was arrested and charged with assault back in August, after a NYC stripper claimed he threw a bunch of money at her face and caused “substantial pain to her left eye,” but a judge has determined he’s not guilty. Prosecutors decided they couldn’t prove he did anything illegal, so the charges have been dropped. It was honestly a ridiculous lawsuit to begin with!
It seems it was just too little too late for Lil Wayne who was dropped from his Mountain Dew deal for a lyric using Emmitt Till’s name. Emmitt Till’s family immediately went up in arms after hearing the line and the backlash even caused Wayne to issue a formal apology. According to the associated press PepsiCo issued a statement saying that Wayne’s “offensive reference to a revered civil rights icon does not reflect the values of our brand,” causing them to cut ties. A publicist for Weezy says the parting was “amicable” and over “creative differences,” to which she concluded, “That’s about all I can tell you at this time.”
The rumors have been swirling for a little while, and now it’s official that Khloe Kardashian is no longer on “X Factor.” Fox just released a statement revealing the reality star won’t be joining them as a host in season 3 after her debut in season 2, but Mario Lopez will continue to hold the gig. “We really enjoyed working with her and wish her all the best in her future endeavors,” they added. Eek.
Succumbing to the extreme pressure from womens’ groups and various other protestors, Reebok finally dropped Rick Ross today over his controversial “date rape” lyrics on Rocko’s “U.O.E.N.O.” The more interesting part of it is that they didn’t seem to really drop him over the actual lyrics…it’s over his lack of remorse. Every time he offered an “apology,” it was more like an, “I’m sorry you think that way,” but not an “I’m sorry I talked about date rape.” He denied he meant rape, but never explained what it is he actually meant. Yet and still, many feel for him in the situation, and that includes Houston rapper Slim Thug. He took to Twitter to go in about his feelings toward it. Check out what he said in the gallery. Do you agree with him?
