Kanye West has broken a donation record at his late mother’s foundation Donda’s House, donating a whopping $133,000 to support the young and aspiring artists in their hometown of Chicago. Complex reports that a portion of Ye’s Donda’s House donation came from the money he earned by performing multiple shows for the Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris recently, while the rest was out of pocket. There are currently 160 artists who are supported by the foundation, and Yeezy’s generous donation will no doubt benefit them greatly! “Kanye’s generosity is greatly appreciated and will improve our capacity with new staff as we deliver the high-quality arts programming that our participants deserve,” the charity’s Executive Director Donnie Smith said in a statement. So dope of Ye!
“It’s a tear-jerker…” He “never needed a Mother’s Day” to show his love and now the world can hold a cellphone and lighter to some epic footage. This was a big Mother’s Day for Kanye West being that it’s not only his first holiday as a father, but it’s also his first year having a mother-in-law to celebrate with after the loss of his own mom, Donda West, back in 2007. The “Yeezus” rap-star posted a touchy message to his mom up in heaven with a picture of the sky along with a tweet that read “Hi mom.” He and his soon-to-be wife/baby moms Kim Kardashian also balled out on Kris Jenner, purchasing some fly new Saint Laurent and Maison Martin Margiela for the business mogul. How sweet! Take a trip to the gallery and take a look for yourself!
