Sports can become emotional at times, even when you don’t want it to be. The Los Angeles Clippers and their fans have been on an emotional roller coaster the past 48 hours after they basically realized the season was over after losing both Chris Paul and Blake Griffin to injury. It was a huge swing of those emotions after just a couple days ago thinking they had a legit chance at a championship. During the pre-game presser before last night’s game five against the Blazers, coach Doc Rivers was asked about handling the adversity and being discouraged and it inadvertently let to him being in tears as he thought of his mom.
Doc Rivers is fed up with getting burned by referees bad calls only to have the refs apologize after the fact. It has happened a few times now according to him which is why he thinks it is time for NBA coaches to be able to challenge a call from the ref, just like how NFL coaches can.
Do you like the sound of Doc Rivers raspy voice? If you do well then I have good news for you. If you don’t I still have good news for you and you can just use your phone for GPS capabilities. The Clippers are raffling off a Lexus RC-F, complete with Clippers colors and the voice of the coach telling you where to go.
The NBA trade deadline is approaching and there’s been a lot of rumblings about possible deals for Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin. Now we all know GM’s and presidents often lie but Doc Rivers continues to reiterate that they are NOT trading Griffin.
Tensions between the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers continue to fester, mostly because of the Clippers head coach Doc Rivers. The Warriors have received criticism about their title run from many people including Rivers who said, “You need luck in the West. Look at Golden State. They didn’t have to play us or the Spurs.” The Warriors fired back at Rivers and the other detractors and now Doc has more to say.
