STRAIGHT OUTTA…. Brooklyn? Spike Lee took it upon himself to dedicate a Brooklyn street name to his classic 1989 movie, Do The Right Thing. Stuyvesant Avenue has now been given a name change to Do The Right Thing Way, but only between Quincy Street and Lexington Avenue since that’s the area where the film was shot back in the day. This movie has played an influential part in shaping our current society for countless reasons, so it is only right for this street name change to occur. BK residents seem to be thrilled about it for the simple fact that Do The Right Thing is one of the more popular Brooklyn-based movies. Check out the new street sign in the gallery!
