Afterwards, the pack brings it right back home to the city that never sleeps, and assembles at a Harlem project basketball court in the night time.

Photo Credit: BET [Screenshot] Dave East had a breakout 2016, landing the XXL Freshman cover, touring the country, charting with his Kairi Chanel mixtape and most notably, signing a record deal with Def Jam. Now he’ll be kicking off 2017 with another major accolade – his first acting gig. The Harlem rapper will appear on the season premiere of BET’s Being Mary Jane. In a preview of the cameo, Dave can be seen playing himself, performing on a show and then being interviewed by Gabrielle Union’s character. Gaby has previously stated in interviews that she’s a fan of East’s music, so it wouldn’t be surprising if his appearance was a personal request from the star herself! Check out the clip below.
