#Freestyle060 Yes, we’ve been off for a couple weeks…. gotta let those others continue to turn into classics, But not only are we back, we got that treat to lay on you! Griselda Records’ Own Conway & Benny, while Westside Gunn was in the room, sat and spit some BARS!! Tat Wza IG | Twitter | Snapchat(Snapcode; Screenshot and ADD) You know how this works, I break down how the night went then you get that BAR Work! So to keep it 1 thou, I need to start this on Monday, I got a text that asked if ‘Tat, this still you?’, to which this being Summer Jam season, I fell ALL the way back(if I fux with you like that, you’re straight either Thru me or I know you’re good), I was in contact through the label(Interscope at least) about the freestyle so I def wasn’t thinking it was for that. Then yesterday I get a text saying ‘it’s Green Lantern’ from the same #, I immediately called the number but he didn’t answer right then, then he text back and asked me to call back as soon as I could, which I was and got side tracked. So Green hit me day of, and we finally connected, I told him I didn’t answer right away cause it’s the season, he understood, let me know it was about the freestyle, then we got the beats together, and from there it was lit!! To be…
Since flooding the game last year and releasing six projects, aside from “Riots On Fashion Ave”, Westside Gunn and Conway have been relatively quiet for the first two months of 2017, but for a good reason. Today they announced that Griselda Records, the indie label founded by Westside Gunn has signed a distribution deal with Eminem’s Shady Records. This also marks the first time an artist(s) from Buffalo has signed a major label distribution deal. Along with the announcement, Westside Gunn and Conway aka Hall N’ Nash release their new single “MachineGun Black” which is produced by the legendary Just Blaze.
Conway and Prodigy team up and drop a 2-track EP, titled “Hell Still On Earth.” Both tracks are produced by Daringer. Get your hoodie and timbs out for this because it’s that grimy East Coast rap. Listen after the jump.
Mac Miller aka Larry Fisherman started a new series named !Go Fish! where he “makes beats, people rap on them, and then he puts them on the internet.” For volume 1 Mac grabs Griselda Records signee Conway to drop some bars over some Larry Fisherman production and he kills it. Listen to the track after the jump.
Statik Selektah grabs Westside Gunn, Conway, Your Old Droog, and Termanlogy for his new track “The Curve.” Listen after the jump.
