Juno star Ellen Page, 26, comes out at gay at a conference in Las Vegas for LGBT teens.
Good Morning America host Robin Roberts took to Facebook last night to reflect on her year and her recent battle with cancer, and officially came out of the closet in the process. Posting a photo from December 29th, 2012, Robin thanked the friends and family that have been by her side throughout the battle, and was sure to add in her “long time girlfriend, Amber.” Amber Laign is a massage therapist who helps patients recuperate from injuries, and sources close to Robin reveal that the happy couple have been together for over 10 years! What a beautiful thing! Check out some photos of the pair in the gallery.
Long before Wentworth Miller thought of coming out to the public, he was just a teen being bullied for his sexuality. He talks about pretending to be straight daily and the first time he attempted suicide in a moving speech at the Human Rights Campaign dinner. Check it out after the jump.
Hopefully this will help others that want to come out or people that need to open their mind a little bit. Brittney Griner, the No. 1 pick in Monday’s WNBA draft, acknowledged Wednesday in interviews that she is gay.
Clive Davis is responsible for the careers of so many of the artists that we love today. Founding Arista Records back in the 80’s, Clive helped bring people like Whitney Houston, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Hudson, Aretha Franklin, Rod Stewart and so many more to the levels of success they have seen. Now as he approaches his 81st birthday this may, the legendary music executive has released his own memoir, The Soundtrack of My Life. With almost 50 years in the music business, you can be sure there’s PLENTY to read in this one. But one of the biggest bombshells? The twice-married man with four children and six grandchildren is bisexual! Kudos to him for having the bravery to share that with the world!
Frank Ocean shocked the world when he came out via a letter on his Tumblr over the summer, admitting he’d once been in love with another man. It was a very brave move to begin with, but especially because his genre of music is very openly homophobic. He hasn’t discussed the act of courage since then, but in his new interview with GQ, he finally opened up about why he chose to do so, and what was running through his mind. See what the Odd Future crooner had to say below. Marisa Mendez
