This upcoming NFL season is the time for Robert Griffin III to prove himself. He had a breakout rookie year with the Washington Redskins, he set records for highest passer rating by a rookie quarterback (102.4) and highest touchdown to interception ratio (4:1). He also won the Offensive Rookie of the Year award and took the Redskins to the playoffs. Things went downhill afterwards. Griffin tore his ACL and LCL; he began to play in less games, was then demoted to second and third string before not playing at all in the 2015-16 season after which he was cut by the Redskins. He eventually signed with the Cleveland Browns and today they announced that he won the battle over Josh McCown to become the starting quarterback for the upcoming season.
