Chicago rapper King Louie, real name Louis Johnson Jr., was shot in the head around 3:30 p.m. today [Dec. 23] in an Ashburn neighborhood. At the time, Louie was sitting in a vehicle. King Louie was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center where he remains in stable condition. A representative says that he is “awake and talking.” Hit the jump for more.

Police Officer Who Shot & Killed Laquan McDonald Doesn’t Have The Cleanest Background

Over a 14-year bid as a police officer, Jason Van Dyke has had 18 complaints filed agains him; eight of which were alleged excessive force, two involved the use of a firearm-not including the October 2014 shooting of Laquan McDonald. (Video) Chicago Residents Take Action After Dash-Cam Footage Shows Police Killing Laquan McDonald

Protests ensue in the streets of Chicago following the release of dash-cam footage from the October 2014 shooting and killing, by the hands of former officer Jason Van Dyke, of 17-year-old Laquan McDonald. With the video’s release, a group of protesters began marching, chanting “16 shots (the number of times the Black teen had been shot)” and “We got to fight back,” according to CNN. On Tuesday [Nov. 24], Dyke was charged with first-degree murder, and currently being held on bond. 18 and up, watch the graphic footage down bottom.
