Yesterday, the Brooklyn Nets finally held their press conference welcoming Kevin Garnett, Paul Piece & Jason Terry. The move has created a huge buzz not only in the New York area, but across the country as well. You should have your brain checked if you don’t think the Nets can at least contend for a NBA title, even though I do not think they will make it out of the east. The move from Boston to Brooklyn seems to be the most emotional for Pierce compared to the others. Shaq loves to talk sh*t. Always wants to stir things up with comments, but that is how he has always been. I am beginning to think the NBA has paid people off to talk up the Knicks/Nets rivalry. The league thought the rivalry would of started on its own this past season, but you can’t force that. I do not think it will be a real rivalry until the new Nets show they can sustain being good for a while. The Knicks have ran New York for too long to suddenly give the Nets respect as a hated rival.
